The Ride
Superman the Ultimate Escape, V2, and now it's at Cedar Point. That's right Cedar Point's first ever launch coaster, dubbed the Wicked Twister opens for the 2002 season. This coaster how ever has an extra twist. Instead of a vertical tower and a vertical twist, Cedar Point decided to take it one step further and add two vertical twists. Hence the name Wicked Twister. The 215 foot coaster opens this spring and Cedar Point officials are predicting it to be a major hit.
The Experience
With Lake Erie as a backdrop the ride's teal and yellow track is a scenic sight, but don't think this is a  sight seeing tour. Once you board the cars you're in for a wild ride. The cars launch up the forward spike a 50 mph, but don't think that's all the faster it gets. As the cars roll backwards through the station the LIMS boost the speed to 63 mph as the cars climb the back spike. As the sky rolls around you once again roll through the station being pushed to 72 mph. The ride climbs the forward spike to blow of speed and rolls to a stop in the station. A great way for Cedar Point to kick of it's season with a twist.
