The Ride
Vegas has always been known for producing high speed thrill coasters. With Desperado being one of the tallest and Manhattan Express being the tallest looping coaster, Speed The Ride fits right in. This extreme thrill ride built by Premier Rides is located at Saharas' Hotel and Casino in action packed Las Vegas. Speed: The Ride's smoothness, speed, airtime, and design make it one of the best steel coasters in Vegas.
The Experience
Riders board a train that closely resemble a race car, and strap themselves in with the heavily padded, but comfortable shoulder harnesses into 6 train cars with 2 abreast in each set of seats. The trains are launched out of a tunnel at 30 mph. Riders exit the tunnel into the sunlight, dive under a sidewalk, and head through a 70 foot vertical loop. Then more LIM's speed the train up to 70 mph in two seconds. Then it's up the 224 foot tall vertical tower. At the top riders experience 4 seconds of airtime, then they get to do the whole ride in reverse.
