Coaster Collection - Desperado

The Ride
Who would have ever thought Vegas would start to build some of the fastest, tallest roller coasters around. No one, that is until Buffalo Bill's Hotel and Casino decided to build Desperado. This Arrow built coaster opened as the tallest and fastest coaster, with it's first drop tying the now Phantom's Revenge's first drop of 225 feet. With 6000 feet of track rising towards the sky, Desperado is one of the longest coasters in the US.

The Experience
Riders board the Arrow trains while inside the Casino. Then it's up the 209 foot chain lift, towards the Nevada sky. Riders then plunge down the 225 foot drop towards the desert floor. Traveling 80 mph the train is sent back towards the sky by a twisted hill. Over another hill, then into a brake block. Riders are airborn for a second as the train cruises over a mid-ride hump. Riders travel into a tunnel like cavern and through a helix. Then the trains roll into the brakes, and slowly roll into the station.
