The Ride
After the demolition of the Soap Box Derby Racers, Knott's made the mistake of building the racing  coaster Windjammer. The ride was uncomfortable and it's met it's demise when it was forced to shut down. The ride was demolished and now the Xcelerator is being constructed there. The first good idea Knott's has had for that spot since Soap Box Derby Racers was built. Intamin AG's new coaster will imply some fun elements. Over banked turn borrowed from Millennium Force and a hydraulic launch from the station. The new coaster will change that area into a fifties themed area.
The Experience
Riders board fifty seven chevy look alikes that are parked in the chrome and glass station. The cars are launched out of the station at 82 mph. The riders go vertical and through the tophat like extremely banked turn. The riders end up going down a vertical plunge straight towards the ground. The cars then zoom through an over banked turn and down an incline to the brake run. Then it coasts around a final turn and back into the station.
