The Ride
The D.C. Comics section of Six Flags New England is quite a hot spot for some first class coaster. In 2002 SFNE added Batman The Dark Knight to there coaster lineup. This is their third superhero coaster to go along with Superman: The Ride of Steel and Posion Ivy's Twisted Train. Batman The Dark Knight is also SFNE's first coaster to come from the swiss coaster company B&M. Batman The Dark Knight holds the record for the twistiest coaster, and is also the first floorless in New England.
The Experience
Riders enter the queue lines for Batman The Dark Knight and make there way to one of the floorless coaster trains. The trains then leave the station and climb the 117 foot lift hill. As the trains reach the top they make a slight dip, which is quite typical for B&M coasters, and then plunges down the first drop. The train reaches the bottom and is immediatly catapulted through a vertical loop.Next the trains enter the diving loop. The trains then make a turnaround and the track heads back towards and through the vertical loop in a fan curve. The train then enters a zero-g roll, and dives over a pathway below. The train then completes a set of interlocking corkscrews seperated by a banked curve. Finally, riders are raised back to the level and the final brake run brings the train back into the station.
