The Ride
Alton Towers entered the coaster scene in 1994 when they announced "Secret Weapon 3." After two previous coaster plans had failed, it was about time for Alton Towers to build a new coaster. Since the park had a height limit, used not height, but depth to build Nemesis. This coaster is one of the best inverted coasters in everyone that has ridden it opinions. Alton Towers didn't stop at just building the coaster, they wrote a book. They created a story and themed the ride into a monster's lair and added blood-rivers all around the canyon.

The Experience
Riders enter the station and board one of eight rows of four seats on the inverted coaster trains. The lift hill is very small compared to most inverted coasters, but that is all this ride needs to be a thirller. The track curves downward and gathers enough speed to complete a flat spin, and dive into Nemesis' lair. The track makes a curve to the right, and turn riders suddenly skyward, and spinning through a Zero-G Roll. The ride once again dives deeper into the canyon and then the train whips through a vertical loop, which is at an unusually point in an inverted coaster layout. The train gains more speed and runs through a tunnel, flipping up and over a flat spin wingover, into a break run.
