The Ride
X Flight the midwest first flying coaster packs a punch at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. The coaster designed and built by Vekoma International of Switzerland. The ride feature 8 inversion, which is more than any coaster at Six Flags Worlds of Adventure. The ride goes through 3, 340 ft of track in 2 minutes and 20 seconds and reaches 51 mph. This was a great ride for Six Flags to add to their ever growing collection of thrilling rides.
The Experience
Passenger board sleek 24 seat trains and then the trains leave the station. Riders are secured by space age harness systems sitting 4 abreast. The trains start to climb the 115 foot lift hill, as they reach the top the seats recline to a 30 degree angle. The train starts to drop and in an instant it's rolled over by a 180 degree in line twist. The riders now have the since of flying as they sour through the twists and turns of X-Flight. The riders have the feeling of flying before they are rolled over again and then ride through a vertical loop. The final stretch of track contains 3 inline twists, rolling you over and over again. Gravity pulls the riders snugly against there safely as they race through 8 inversion in 3,340 ft of mangled track. The trains reach speeds of 50 mph before hitting the brakes and coasting safely back into the station.
