The Ride
When Arrow constructed Drachen Fire many said that the elements they used couldn't be done, but they were. Then Arrow survived bankruptcy, and vanish from the major coaster building scene for a while. Then in 2001 they came flying back into the coaster industry with a 4th dimension coaster, so twisted that many said it couldn't be done. They proved everyone wrong when the coaster dubbed X opened at Six Flags Magic Mountain. This was Arrow's first hypercoaster in 7 years and SFMM second in two years. X was truly Arrow's ticket back into the major coaster scene.
The Experience
Riders start the ride in an Area 51 themed queve line. As riders start the ascent up the lift hill they rise
above Arrow's Viper that neighbors X. When they reach the top of the 20 story summit the cars dip and then rise to the first drop. Then a second track triggers the cars to rotate 90 degrees and go down the drop, putting riders head first as they head towards the ground. Once the track levels out the cars will go through 5 crazy inversions while riders rotate head over heels. The first is the Raven turn, or half loop. Riders then dive back towards the ground and into a Camelhump and flips riders head over heels again. The train rolls around a 180 degree turn over the station and dives into a half zero-g roll. Finally the train climbs up and dives into a half loop. As riders speed towards the brake run, they do a quick half flip, and then it's on the brakes for a smooth glide back into the station.
