The Ride
The thrill of flying has always been a goal that coaster manufacturers have wanted to achieve. The thrill of flying like superman always makes riders get goosebumps. In the year 2000 the dream became a reality. Paramount's Great America pulled the wraps off of Stealth cleverly dubbed the worlds only coaster. The genius of the ride made it an instant hit with coaster fans. The aerial maneuvers of this ride all packed within 2, 766 feet of track make you feel as if you're flying with a fighter pilot doing high speed aerial maneuvers. Even though the ride is no longer the only flying coaster, it's still a favorite on all coaster maniacs' lists.
The Experience
Passengers are in for a great ride when they board the flying coaster cars. Rounding a curve the ride approaches the lift hill and climbs the 12 story hill. Riders are then rolled 180 degrees and find themselves flying, down the first drop. Then it's into a horseshoe curve, and through another 180 degree twist. Facing upward again, the train climbs through the giant vertical loop. The u turn follows the loop and flips riders into flying position again as the train goes through the structure of the ride. It's around a double corkscrew , and then back to flat track. The brakes lock on the train and it slowly drifts back into the station.
