The Ride
It seems that Hershey Park is throwing in the towel for a new major coaster this year, but with the ride on schedule for 2002 that's literally what they are doing. Hershey has turned to Setpoint Inc. in Oregon to design and build a state of the art interactive hydro coaster. The new ride will be one of only three in existence in the US. The ride uses water to make the experience even more desirable. The ride. This is a great way to make a SPLASH for the 94th season at Hershey Park.

The Experience
The ride is fun for everyone not just the people on the ride. Guest in line and not in line can blast the riders by using water cannons positioned on the ground. Don't worry the riders aren't helpless victims. They control a 4 gallon bucket of water that they can dump on guest below. The ride has back to back seating in the cars. The ride starts by pulling the riders up a 70 foot lift hill and then they round a U-turn with the Canyon River Rapids flowing below them. Then the ride gets fun. Gysers of water drench the riders from all directions, as they swoop around 180 degree turns. The ride then rounds a turn and picks up some speed with water drenching the rider all the way. If you want to ride this ride prepare to get soaked.
