The Ride
In 1993 when Cedar Point decided to build their first inverted coaster, they pulled out all the stops. The new coaster named Raptor was a hit, when it opened into May of 1994, and got great reviews by all kinds of coaster fans. Cedar Point kept with it's tradition of building record breaking coasters, and now they had the world's tallest, fastest, and scariest inverted coaster. This B&M creation speeds alongside the midway of Cedar Point, waiting to catch it's next prey.
The Experience
Once you board one of the three coaster trains you climb the 14 story lift hill and dive down the 13 story drop right towards the midway, barley missing it. Then you're looking at the sky as your travel through Raptor's giant verticla loop. It's then a zero g-roll, which after rolling the rider 360 degrees, slings riders towards the ground. A short speed straigh away runs riders right into the unique cobra roll. Riders a turned upside down, then right side up, then upside down again, as they cruise through the cobar roll. After an upward helix, there's a short brake run. Then it's back towards the ground. Two corkscrews flip yo upside down, and then it's a banked turn and a second corkscrew. This all happens before you roll into a positive g helix, and a brake run.
