The Ride
The monster Kraken now inhabits Sea World Orlando. The creature opened in 2000 and is the only floorless coaster in Orlando. It's the tallest and Fastest coaster that Orlando has ever had. Named after a sea monster the coaster takes riders to the extreme.
This B&M creation has seven inversions, which includes two vertical loops, and an underwater coaster dive.
Kraken is part of Sea World's plan to compete with the other Flordia parks.
The Experience
Riders board blue and tan floorless coaster cars. They are pulled up the 15 story lift hill and the monster Kraken runs wild. The cars fly down the first drop. Down 14 and a half stories through a giant vetical loop. Then it's through a diving loop, then it's time for the zero-g spin. Next it's into a dual-inverting cobra roll, a quick sidewinder, and immediatly into a dive loop. A brief turn leads the trains around and into a braking station. Then it's a dive into Kraken's lair, before completing a second vertical loop. Rider's plunge into the lair one more time, and fly back into daylight. A banked curve winds left and coils up into the final inversion. The corkscrew. The last turn is a U-turn, and the coaster hits the brake run.
