Coaster Collection - Ozark Wildcat

Ozark Wildcat

The Ride
Celebration City will open this year under the ownership of Silver Dollar City, with two steel coasters opening with it. But they won't be the most famous coaster of the park. The four million dollar, 80 foot twisted layout of Ozark Wildcat will be. Silver Dollar City has contacted Great Coaster International to do some of their handiwork and bring to life a classic wooden coaster. Like many of GCI's designs, the Ozark Wildcat is influenced by the classic twister designs of the twenties. The Ozark Wildcat won't be the tallest coaster from GCI, but it will be ferocious. Riders will be catapualted through fan curves, twisting drop, and banked turnarounds making the Ozark Wildcat a load of wooden fun.

The Experience
Riders will board GCI's Millennium Flyers and secure the lap restraints. The ride starts with a U-Turn out of the station, down a straighaway, another quick turn, and a climb up the eight story lift hill. Once the trains reach the top, they round a right hand curve and begin to pick up speed. The train plummets down the first drop and curves around 310 degrees. The train then whips through the Ozark Wildcat's fan curve. At speeds of 45 mph, the trains double back around a banked turnaround. The track then sends riders through the lift structure and into another turnaround, this time to the left. The train then goes back through the wooden structure and into a curving hop. One last 180 degree curve awaits and then a small hop onto the brakes. Two final hops take the train into the station brakes ending the ride on the Ozark Wildcat.
