The Ride
During Geauga Lake's conversion into a Six Flags thrill park for the 2002 season, to superheros were on the rise. They were built to protect the park from the villian that was also lurking within the park. Villian, a steel supported, double out and back coaster was constructed by Custom Coaster International bringing Six Flags Ohio's coaster count up to nine for it's opening day. On May 5, 2002 Six Flags Worlds of Adventure opened for the first time, and so did the new Villian. Villian also brings SFWoA's wooden coaster count up to three, joining the 1926 Big Dipper and the twisting woodie, Raging Wolf Bobs.
The Experience
After boarding the Villian's 24 passenger trains, they swivel around an s-curve and u-turn to the lift hill. The chain takes hold of the cars and carries them to the 120 foot summit. Riders reach the top of the lift and they are droped down th 112 foot first drop. The course ahead contains some high speed hops giving riders some airtime experience. The mid-course turnaround lies ahead. The trains sweep around 180 degrees and head back towards the way they came. Then they experience another series of high speed hops.Once again Villian completes the second mid-course turnaround. Riders are now taken through the structure and experience a series of ascents and descents. The last turnaround is a simple U-Turn built within the structure. The trains crest the last hop and roll into the brake station for the end of the ride.
