The Ride
After the success of Six Flags Great Adventure's Medusa, it seemed that all the Six Flags Park wanted to jump on the floorless wagon. In 1999 Six Flags Fiesta Texas made that jump and gave the public Superman Krypton Coaster. Bolliger and Mabillard took advantage of the landscape at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and used it to build the world's tallest and fastest floorless coaster. Fiesta Texas's cliffs and quarries make for an unforgetable ride with the man of steel.
The Experience
Riders take their seats on the floorless coaster cars, and the floor drops out from around them. They depart the station, legs dangling, and round a 90 degree turn. After they connect to the lift hill, they climb over the wall of the quarry. Once riders reach the top top of the lift, they begin the first curving dive of the ride. The dive starts only six stories above the ground but then drops 170 feet into the quarry. Riders then enter the 124 foot loop with the man of steel standing on top. Next, it's back up the cliff to begin the helix. Another dive back down awaits after that maneuver is complete. Immediatly after the drop, riders are taken through a Zero-G Roll followed by a giant Cobra Roll. A quick S-Turn takes the trains through a mid-course brake block and then they roll into a pair of Interlocking Corkscrews. The ride ends with a shrap 180 degree twist into the station.
