The Ride
In the year 1995 Port Aventura contacted B&M to build them a coaster that would be a flagship coaster for their park. B&M worked with coaster designer John Wardly and Dragon Khan was created. Riders experience eight inversions in 4165 feet of track making this the only coaster with eight inversions. Dragon Khan is located on the highest point of the resort, so it's possible to see the red track looming throughout the entire park.
The Experience
Riders board the sitdown coaster cars and exit the station. A quick 180 degree turn takes riders to the 160 foot lift hill. As riders reach the top, they get a view of the whole park, before they turn 90 degrees and plummet straight down the first drop. As the cars reach the bottom of the drop they enter a giant loop. After the trains exit the loop they enter a Imelman, followed by an inline twist. The riders then experience a typical B&M manuever, the cobra roll. As the trains exit the cobra roll, the ride climbs into a mid course braking section, before diving into a second loop. Riders exit the loop and enter a piar of interlocking corkscrews. seperated by a 180 degree turn. At the exit of the second corkscrew, the train hits the final brake run.
